How to Deliver a True Brand Experience

When it comes to delivering a true brand experience, several factors contribute to creating the whole picture. The space, staff, entertainment, and management – all of these elements are critical to pull off a successful event. These elements should not only be consistent with one another but they should also complement the brand and reflect the brand image.

Elements of a Brand Experience

Each element in the brand experience is a telltale of the company’s image and message. Therefore, they should be very carefully chosen and arranged to make sure that they represent the brand for exactly what it is.

Let’s look at each of the elements in detail:

Space

The space of the event depends largely on the nature of the event or type of activation. It could be in the form of an exhibition stand, a themed stand, product demonstrations, or even staff in dressed up costumes and props moving about freely to engage with the attendees. At the 2014 San Diego Comic-Con International, PUSH Marketing was hired by Anchor Bay Entertainment, among other brands, for flash mob dancing by team of costume characters.

Staff

Carefully handpicked event staff is essential to create and maintain the required atmosphere at the event and enhance interaction with the attendees. However, brands must be careful when hiring brand ambassadors. They should for qualities that match with the brand image so that the staff and audience can relate to one another.

Entertainment

Yet again, depending on the type of event and activation, the brand can decide to induce some entertainment to attract and retain a crowd. There can be musician, magicians, comedians, tarot card readers, caricature artists, raffle draws, quizzes, product demonstrations, and so many other ways to grab the attention of audience and keep them engaged.

Information

One of the main responsibilities of promotional staff or brand ambassadors at an event is to spread positive word about the brand they are promoting. This requires them to be knowledgeable about the brand so they that they confidently communicate and engage with the crowd and answer any questions. Information can also be provided by handing out pamphlet, brochures, price lists, and order forms.

Promotional Products

It is important to give the attendees something that will serve as a reminder of the brand. Promotional products like USBs, calculations, mugs, T-shirts, and many other items are common promotional tools used by brands to giveaway as free samples.
